Early access and Cloud processing

Free Cloud solving, fair-use capacity, model uploads, retention and Terms acceptance.

JWGeotech apps are currently in early access and available to use for free with a verified account. Free access to JSlope and JRunout includes Cloud solving. Browser and Native solving require the appropriate licence permissions.

Create free account or open dashboard to launch the apps. Personal accounts and Enterprise members can author models and submit Cloud work, regardless of their organisation role or licence ownership. Early access does not promise permanent free access or unlimited capacity. Future paid conversion requires explicit agreement.

Choosing where to compute

All six solvers use Cloud for products without a licence: LEM, Rockfall, Groundwater, Mesh, Stress and Runout. Earlier Native or Browser account choices for an unlicensed product are ignored while it is unlicensed. This automatic Cloud default is not saved as a user choice. Licensed products retain their saved choices and default to Browser where permitted, otherwise Native. If a licensed location or selected backend is unavailable, the app explains why and waits for you to choose. A running analysis keeps its current location; account corrections apply after it finishes. Native is offered only for solvers covered by your current product licence. Browser also requires Browser compute permission on that licence. The All solvers menu offers only locations permitted for every solver; use the per-solver menus when your JSlope and JRunout permissions differ.

Choosing Cloud sets where analyses run. Starting a Cloud solve enables automatic numerical previews and post-processing for the current project, which can send relevant data while you edit when their solver location is Cloud. Opening another project or changing account turns previews off. Merely choosing Cloud does not enable automatic uploads.

Cloud solves and associated numerical previews and post-processing upload the relevant model data to hosted processing. Signing in or opening a local file alone does not upload it. Choose a licensed local location if you require local numerical processing. Other hosted features, such as Cloud Materials and surface uploads, send data when you use those features.

Fair use and your queue

The default allowance is one executing run and three waiting runs per user, shared across JSlope and JRunout. Draft uploads count as waiting. Each organisation can have up to 20 outstanding runs. Operators may adjust these limits; the Cloud runs page shows your current usage and allowance.

A scenario batch counts as one run. Jobs keep their order within that batch; eligible users take turns between jobs. Paused or retained interactive Runout sessions occupy running capacity until released. Use Cancel run or Release session to make capacity available. Input size, memory and runtime limits also apply, and availability depends on a compatible worker.

Results and retention

The latest successful result per analysis type is retained for up to seven days. A newer successful result can replace an earlier one sooner. Failed work does not replace the last successful result. Download retained input/result archives from Cloud runs, and save your project and exports for long-term use. Temporary Cloud recovery is not a backup service.

Separate usage metadata is retained for 90 days by default: account and organisation identifiers, solver/backend, attempt timing, queue delay, occupancy, outcomes and artifact sizes. It contains no model contents. Administrators use it to monitor fair use, reliability and estimated operating costs. See the Privacy Policy.

Terms and feedback

New and existing users must explicitly accept the current Terms of Service before new work. This applies to every sign-in method. A Terms update does not stop accepted runs or discard unsaved work. Account management, cancellation and downloads of retained results remain available while you review it.

Independently validate inputs, assumptions and results before using them for engineering or safety decisions. Free during early access. Help shape the tools by sharing feedback through Help → Submit Feedback, the Dashboard feedback button or the contact page.

The automatic preview permission is not stored in your model or account preferences.
