Automatic clustering
Preview structural sets and accept reviewed assignments as one project edit.
Open Automatic Clustering... from Analysis. Review the eligible measurement count, choose parameters and run the calculation. The preview shows proposed sets in the model and stereonet without immediately changing accepted assignments.
Inspect angular diagnostics and uncertain rows. Use Accept all or accept selected proposed sets after reviewing the result. Accepted nonempty groups receive non-conflicting Auto names. Analysed uncertain measurements and rows belonging to unchecked groups become Unassigned. Existing assignments protected by the unassigned-only filter stay unchanged.
Acceptance is one undoable project edit. It does not move anchors, fitted diagnostics or halo values. Orientation, assignment, eligibility or calibration changes can make a preview stale and prevent acceptance; stale previews remain inspectable. Visibility, selection, naming and colour edits do not invalidate the numerical calculation.
Read-only projects can calculate temporary previews but cannot save or accept them. Large inputs remain subject to the app's numerical memory and workload limits; reduce the selected inputs or candidate range when admission reports a limit.
