Assumptions and limitations
Understand what the geometry and deposition calculation establish.
JVoxel is a calculation and visualization aid. A mapped enclosure is a geometric candidate, not proof of instability. The application does not calculate a factor of safety, dynamic impact energy or an automatic exclusion zone.
Finite release surfaces must close the selected mass. Artificial computational closures are not selectable boundaries. Review source quality, surface extent, observation fitting and conversion diagnostics before accepting an enclosure.
Unsupported overhangs, stacked surfaces and enclosed terrain coverage gaps prevent runout. Geometry may remain available for volume inspection and export even when deposition is disabled. Do not treat the absence of a calculated deposit as a safe result.
Exact in-situ volume, swell, voxel sampling and quantization are distinct. Resolution studies and project-specific calibration are needed to assess sensitivity. Animated paths and playback speed do not establish physical velocity or travel time.
Keep survey and engineering checks independent, review volume accounting and the distance basis, and apply qualified engineering judgment to project decisions.
