Analysis modes
Choose the geometry and analysis family for the engineering question.
Surface wedge sliding uses two intersecting discontinuities and a slope or profile. Planar sliding reviews a single failure plane in section. Configure the active family before entering its plane strength and loads.
Surface analyses support a single case, joint-set combinations and probabilistic samples. Review the orientation rows, inclusion choices, sample count and seed in the Planes sidebar before computing a catalog.
Extruded underground openings use a CAD section, axis orientation and length. Choose single, combination or probabilistic analysis and review the resulting block families in the explorer.
Tunnel intersections combine named section extrusions into a network. They use Single analysis with exactly three joints and search the supported block families. The result set can contain a variable number of recovered wedges. A provisional search outcome must be reviewed alongside its convergence diagnostics.
