CAD and rock-bolt support
Edit underground sections and assign individual or patterned support.
Open Opening Section CAD from the underground Geometry sidebar. Draw or edit the section, use snapping and coordinate commands, and close a valid outline before using it as excavation geometry. Named section templates can be reused by tunnel legs. For Tunnel Intersection, choose Edit Geometry…, select a CAD Section, then choose Edit Section in CAD. The geometry manager remains open behind CAD.
The Vertices table beside the drawing edits Offset and Elevation in metres. Click a vertex to highlight and reveal its row; selecting or focusing a coordinate row highlights that vertex in the drawing. Dragging a vertex updates its coordinates. Use the shared table actions to insert, delete, or reorder rows, and spreadsheet selection to copy and paste coordinates. Invalid outlines are rejected.
Both editors keep committed changes when closed. Invalid or unfinished input text survives closing, reopening, and local recovery. Undo/redo treats each committed field edit, paste, row operation, or CAD drag as one operation. On a narrow CAD window the coordinate pane stacks below the drawing.
Use the rock-bolt tools to place individual bolts or a pattern along the opening. Select a bolt type, review its properties and check the tip direction, length and spacing. Window selection supports assigning properties to several bolts.
Changing section topology can remove assigned support. Review the confirmation before applying that change. Moving an existing vertex must keep the section and its support valid.
Committed CAD edits participate in project undo/redo. An unfinished drawing gesture uses local undo first. Recompute after a geometry or support change and inspect engaged bolts, supported factor of safety and required support pressure.
CAD windows and segment filtering
Opening Section CAD and Opening Segment Filter are large, resizable floating windows. The 3D scene remains mounted behind them. Minimize a window and restore it from the status bar without losing its draft, camera, selection, or local gesture history. Bolt Properties is a separate focused dialog.
Escape first dismisses a context menu or cancels an active gesture, then follows the editor's close rules. Closing a section editor retains unfinished drafts and validates the section before accepting it. Segment Filter uses Apply to commit its selection and Cancel to retain the previous filter. A minimized or covered editor does not receive background keyboard or undo commands.
Print → Current view captures the active visible CAD editor, or the 3D workspace when no CAD editor is visible. It excludes minimized editors.
