Detailed Results

Filter and explore combination and probabilistic catalogs in Detailed Results.

When It Appears

The right Results inspector shows the active wedge stereonet and key metrics. The left Result Explorer lists combinations or probabilistic samples, and the full result-set dashboard appears in the Detailed Results modal for Combinations, Probabilistic, and underground modes. Single surface mode does not have a result-set table.

Dashboard Controls

ControlDescription
FS min / FS maxFilters result rows to finite reported FS values inside the entered range. Invalid ranges show zero rows.
SegmentsExtruded-opening filter that opens the main viewport CAD selector. Click edges or drag a window, then apply; rows and the 3D viewport remain when a block intersects any selected segment.
Table viewDisplays a virtualized, horizontally scrollable result table for large result sets. Click a row to make that sample, combination, or underground block-code candidate active in the main app.
Graph viewDisplays a cumulative probability curve for the selected metric over the filtered rows.
Metric selectorChooses FS, volume, backbreak, or runout for the graph view.
Column headersSort table rows. Criticality sorts daylighting/formed wedges with lower FS and larger volume first.

Result Explorer and Results Inspector

The left Result Explorer lists combinations or samples by number, with FS, volume, support pressure, backbreak, and applicable spill width/runout. Volume is reported in m³ for wedge and underground results and m³/m for planar sliding. Numbering follows the navigation controls across the complete result set. Click a row to select it, or focus the table and use arrow keys, Page Up/Down, Home, and End. Only visible rows and a small buffer are rendered for large catalogs.

For extruded openings, each row represents a combination group and shows both FS and volume from its controlling formed wedge, using the existing criticality ranking. Opening-segment filters apply before that wedge is selected. Groups without matching wedges remain selectable and show dashes. Below this table, Valid Wedges lists the individual wedges in the active group, retaining its selection and critical-metric markers. Each table scrolls independently.

Detailed Results is in the left Results header, including for single analyses. The right Key results inspector shows formed state, sliding mode, FS, volume (m³/m for planar sliding), support pressure, and applicable backbreak/runout metrics. The segment filter is available only for extruded openings. Detailed Results is also accessible from the View menu when the Results pane is hidden.

The Model Explorer is a collapsible, read-only inventory of the editable draft: named geometry, planes with colour indicators and orientation-row counts, enabled loads, and bolt rows grouped by section/type. Numeric properties remain in the right Model properties inspector. The left rail and Configure menu select input panes. Detailed Results remains a resizable popup. The bottom status bar owns the live computation state, window taskbar, and viewport controls.

Sample/combination navigation sits directly beneath its table heading. Input panes default to 400 px; Results defaults to 480 px and can be resized between 460 and 560 px. Results columns fit within that width without horizontal scrolling.

Tunnel Intersection is a Single analysis with three joints and potentially many recovered wedges. Its Result Explorer contains only Valid Wedges, retaining sorting, thresholds, redundancy controls, and selection. Detailed Results includes the recovered-wedge dashboard and diagnostics; searches that recover no wedges still show their diagnostics. Result labels always use the completed configuration, even when the draft changes.

The Results pane remembers its own width independently of the input panes. Tables fill the available height above Messages and the computation controls, with fixed opaque headers and scrolling rows. The compact headers are #, FS, Vol, Support, and Back, with units beneath them. Surface tables also show Spill (m) for planar sliding or Runout (m) for wedge sliding.

When underground results have both a sample/combination list and Valid Wedges, drag the horizontal divider to adjust their heights, or focus it and use the arrow keys. A single table uses the available height. Numeric precision, result selection, and completed-result units are retained when the layout changes.

Table Columns

ColumnMeaning
Sample / Joint Rows / CodeTraceability back to the probabilistic sample, selected surface joint-set pair, selected underground joint-set triplet, combination rows, or underground block code.
Junction / Joint Family / Rank / SearchCanonical tunnel identity and search status. Limited searches are provisional. Detailed Results includes one diagnostic row for every region and family, including zero-block searches.
J1 / J2 / J3Orientations for the selected pair/triplet, shown as dip/dip direction. J3 appears for underground rows.
FormedWhether a wedge formed.
DaylightWhether daylighting is satisfied.
ModeSliding mode for that row.
FSReported factor of safety.
Required Support Pressure for FS = 1Support pressure required to bring the reported FS to 1, in kPa.
VolumeWedge volume, in m3.
BackbreakBackbreak distance, in m.
RunoutReported surface runout distance. This column is hidden in underground mode.
Kinematic / EffectsKinematic state and active load/effect contributors.
Trend / Plunge / Intersection Trend / Intersection Plunge / Friction ReserveSliding direction, intersection direction, and friction reserve, in degrees.
Conical Runout / Pyramid Runout / Runout Mode / Runout LengthSurface-only runout detail metrics. Runout distances are in m.
Weight / Areas / Normal Forces / Driving Force / Resisting ForceGeometry, normal force, and force-balance metrics. Weight and forces are in kN; areas are in m2.
Active Force / Passive Force / Rock Bolt Force / Active Pressure Force / Passive Pressure Force / External Force / Water Force / Seismic ForceLoad breakdown forces, in kN.
Engaged Bolt RowsUnderground count of physical bolt rows crossing the wedge.
Joint 1 Normal / Joint 2 Normal / Joint 3 Normal / Slope Normal / Upper NormalPlane normal vectors. Underground rows show Joint 3; surface rows show slope and upper normals.
